It’s been five years since we last took a trip to Philly, and we opted to go the non-tourist route–I’ll probably save those 2010 landmarks for a #TBT post. Arrived in The City of Brotherly Love around 3pm, first stop was Tony Luke’s for what the locals refer to as simply “cheesesteaks,” then we took obligatory photos under Robert Indiana’s LOVE installation followed by a nice stroll around Center City, with pit stops at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Uniqlo(who knew this place would blow up?), Federal Donuts, and dinner at Percy Street BBQ. We were originally supposed to go to DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival, but i’m glad we went here instead, I love how artsy fartsy this city is! I even saw The Academy of the Fine Arts, one of the places that I did my research paper on. From great American food, to awesome art and architecture, Philadelphia is one of my most favorite cities, ever.
