After four long years of pop tart thoughts and Mike Dexter, Preston Meyers opts to catch a later train and finally gets his dream girl, Amanda Beckett, as the scene fades out to the credits with Yazoo’s Only You playing in the background. If a movie scene isn’t at the Grand Central or Chicago Union Station, then it’s most likely filmed here, at the Mission Revival/Art Deco architectural splendor that is the Los Angeles Union Station; often cited as the last of the great railway stations. When I arrived here at 12:30 in the AM(not pictured), it was nearly empty and had a magical quality to it, like I stepped out of a time machine, just another lovely, cinematic feeling.
